New managing director for Bathstore

Bathstore has announced the appointment of Vernon Salt as managing director. Mr Salt reports to Matt Neville, finance director of Bathstore’s parent, Wolseley UK. He is based at Bathstore’s Watford headquarters.

Mr Salt has extensive retail experience, and joins Bathstore from Blockbuster Entertainment, where he was senior vice president – continental Europe.

Mr Salt said: “Bathstore is an exciting brand, with 170 stores in prime locations throughout the country. I am looking forward to driving Bathstore’s next phase of growth, and reinforcing its position as market leader in bathroom retailing.”
