Steristeel branch celebrates first anniversary

A local company selling stainless steel bowls, basins, sinks and sanitaryware has marked its first anniversary with the news that, despite the tough economic conditions, it has outperformed expectations.

Just 12 months since Anniesland-based business Steristeel was opened by local MP John Mason, manager at the branch Liz McIlveney is optimistic about the future. “We have had a great first year, which we put down to our experienced team here in the branch who have built up a great local customer base,” Liz explains. “It’s all about building a strong reputation locally and we are really grateful to all our customers who have supported us and made our first year such a success.”

Liz continues: “Whether customers need large volumes of product on a short lead time or a bespoke sink designing and producing in record time, we can meet their needs. This flexibility has been crucial in helping us to weather the storm.”

The Steristeel branch is based at Anniesland Village Business Park, Netherton Road. It sells a full range of sanitaryware and washroom equipment for domestic installers, which includes literally everything, including the kitchen sink.

Reaching its first year anniversary has created a real success story for the area, especially as it has created a number of new jobs for branch staff as well as technical and field based representatives.

The Steristeel branch is now an essential outlet for contractors and installers across the city and beyond – even making deliveries as far away as Kirkcaldy on the East coast. Its service commitment extends outside the trade counter, with a technical specialist and sales representatives who can make site visits.

Anniesland Business Park is rapidly becoming a centre for contractors and installers as it has a great location combined with the perfect balance of plumbing, kitchen, decorating outlets. The store welcomes enquiries from trade and DIY customers.
