According to new research conducted by Deva, environmental credentials are top of consumers’ wish list when choosing a new shower. More than 4,000 consumers took part in Deva’s research, which asked when choosing a new shower is it looks, price or environmental credentials that is most important.

Most – 45% - said environmental credentials are the most important factor, closely followed by looks (36%) and then price (17%). Only two per cent of those surveyed were unsure which aspect of a new shower purchase is most important.

Deva sales and marketing manager Claire Stokes comments: “The findings of our research represent a real shift in consumer psyche. Just a couple of years ago consumers were wary of eco showers, believing the performance to be inferior to that of a conventional shower and environmental credentials were somewhat further down the wish list.

“With technological developments in products such as Deva’s Satinjet™ range by Methven, consumers are realising that they can have an eco shower, which still packs a powerful performance, looks great and offers real value for money.”

The Satinjet™ range cuts water and energy use by up to 40% with every shower taken, subject to individual water and heating systems. Using twin jets to create 3,000 tiny drops of water per second with just nine litres of water per minute, this versatile range is easy to install, maintain and use and is safe for the whole family. Boasting a lifetime parts guarantee, the Satinjet™ range offers real value for money and peace of mind for all domestic and commercial showering applications.

The Satinjet™ range comprises ten different models including the Awatea models for domestic applications, Kiri models for commercial applications and Tahi for the ultimate in domestic and commercial luxury eco showering.
