Saniflo endorses Cut the VAT coalition
(08/03/2010)
The Experian report, launched last month at the House of Commons, indicated that a VAT cut to 5% for the labour element of repair maintenance and improvement would encourage home improvement, discourage the black economy cowboy operators and encourage the rehabilitation of empty homes to habitable green standards.
Saniflo has endorsed the aims of the ‘Cut the VAT’ coalition as they believe it would lead to a dramatic improvement in older UK homes.
Paul Newson, MD of Saniflo, commented, “ Our products are designed to enable the addition of facilities to properties principally built in the early and middle decades of the 20th Century and prior. By utilising hard to use space for extra facilities such as WC ensuites and kitchen/utility rooms we enable marginal properties to be made into desirable homes.
“Our message Improve, Don’t Move chimes with the need to make older properties more habitable for modern families and those families would be greatly assisted by the reduction of VAT.”
