Plumb Center's SolarReady service removes the hassle of installing solar panels on roofs

Plumb Center has teamed up with leading roofing company Ploughcroft to launch SolarReady, a solar roofing service. The new service for its customers removes the hassle of installing solar panels on roofs.

The service saves time, effort and expense by removing the need for working at height, investing in safety training or the purchase/hire of costly installation equipment.

To take advantage of the SolarReady service – which includes on-roof, in-roof or evacuated tube installations – there are four simple steps:

• Complete an installation check list and order the solar panels required at a local Plumb Center branch or call the Helpline on 0845 275 6000.
• Arrange an installation date with Ploughcroft, Plumb Center’s accredited roofing partners, allowing 14 days lead time.
• Having agreed a time, Ploughcroft will meet with Plumb Center’s customer on site and take care of all access and roofing work.
• Ploughcroft will then undertake a quality installation of the solar panels on the roof enabling customers to complete all the necessary internal installation work.

FENSA registered contractor Ploughcroft boasts an impressive list of top quality accreditations including the ISO 9001 quality management standard, ISO 14001 environmental management standard, CDM (Construction, Design & Management) Certificate of Training, Investors in People accreditation and FMB (Federation of Master Builders) Masterbond Warranty.

It is also a member of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, is a Construction Line approved contractor and a Liquid Plastic quality assured contractor, holds OHSAS 18001 health & safety accreditation and is a member of Trustmark (the Government-endorsed standard for home repairs).

With more than 2,500 solar installations completed in the last year, the Ploughcroft team has vast experience and is renowned for the quality and reliability of its work. It will fit the panels, ensuring the integrity of the roof and leave you to get on with the internal installation work.

Ploughcroft carries all access and safety equipment as well as spare felt, batten and a selection of tiles to ensure that it can carry out all the work in a single visit to the site.

Adding even more value to the SolarReady service, Plumb Center is also part of the A1 Solar Scheme offering up to £300 funding on each installation on Baxi and Worcester Bosch solar thermal systems. As with previous A1 programmes a simple registration must be carried out online or by phone.
