With everyone looking to save a little bit of money wherever they can, IQ Living believes that the popularity of economically sound and stylishly designed showers are the future of bathroom design.

"Making sure we can offer not only value for money, but a great choice in shower systems is important to us,” explains Michael Core, E-commerce manager for IQ Living. “While it’s always wonderful to luxuriate in a bath, sometimes a shower is more practical, more economic and a great additional feature to any bathroom suite,” he adds.

IQ Living work with Aqualisa, Grohe, Mira and Triton. “All four have a great name for reliability, economy and style,” says Michael. “They also have a great reputation for incorporating cutting edge design and technology into their systems, making them some of the most innovative and ground-breaking designs in the market,” he adds.

The four manufacturers all produce three primary types of showers – electric, mixer and power showers. Electric showers allow users all the hot water they want at the touch of a button and simply require a cold water connection linking to the unit with another connection to a power supply. Easy to install and in a range of designs, styles and power ratings, electric showers are safe and easy to use. The technology has been around for a few years, but innovative designs from Triton such as the Inscription, the Mira Azora and the Aqualisa Quartz Electric offer customers a greater range of colours and finishes to brighten up any bathroom suite.

“If you’re not sure about electric showers, then we still have plenty of choice if you prefer a mixer shower unit or the ever-popular power shower,” says Michael. “Whatever plumbing system you already have installed in your home, we have the shower unit to fit,” he adds.

Mixer showers are probably one of the most common systems incorporated into bathroom suites, and can be pumped or unpumped depending on the heating system installed within the house. The typical ‘combi boiler’ system ensures a higher flow rate of water and a more intense shower experience, but for a real wake-up shower, power showers such as the Aqualisa Aquastream are universally popular.

“It all depends on what you want to create in your bathroom and what type of plumbing system you already have installed, but the key factor here is choice,” says Michael Core. “Our primary concern is to make sure every customer’s purchase is right for them, both style-wise and economically. That’s why we only deal with the best and only offer the shower units that tick all the boxes.”
