Graham has appointed David Gledhill to the role of Managing Director, replacing Simon Carin. David joined Graham’s sister company, Jewson, in 1986, starting in a sales role and progressing to become a branch manager before moving into area management. He has held senior management roles in Frazer, IDS and Platform, and two years ago was appointed the first Managing Director of the Timber Group.

Simon will be joining Solaglas, one of the leading distributors, processors and installers of glass related systems in the UK, as Managing Director, after having spent seven years with Graham. During his time with the plumbers’ merchant, Simon was responsible for doubling the Graham network to 230 branches, oversaw the acquisition of Curzon Heating Components and helped to develop Greenworks, the sustainable solutions brand of Saint–Gobain Building Distribution UK & Ireland.

On his appointment, David Gledhill comments: “Thanks to Simon and his team, Graham already enjoys strong brand and industry presence. I intend to build on these achievements and continue to strengthen Graham’s position within the UK marketplace.”
