Southend is welcoming holidaymakers and weekend visitors travelling to this historic seaside location that has been a popular destination for Londoners and South East residents for a century or more.

Southend Borough Council value visitors to the town highly and that is why they maintain the highest standards of hygiene in public toilets. The Council has recently called on the expertise of B-Environmental Swisher to carry out a deep clean service of public toilets in the Borough.

A recent renovation programme for the public toilets in the Borough was completed in partnership with Danfo UK Ltd, Allied Construction Ltd, Cory Environmental Municipal Service (CEMS) and Swisher Hygiene. The project delivered a new toilet facility in Eastwood Park and refurbishments across 22 other priority locations including Southend Seafront. Toilets have been upgraded with energy saving devices such as light sensors and water saving hand-washing units.

To complement the already existing cleansing regime provided by CEMS Services, B-Environmental Swisher was brought in to provide a deep clean service and sanitise all surfaces.

Cllr. Ian Robertson, Executive Portfolio Holder for Public Protection says “ We are pleased to have delivered an extensive refurbishment program for this summer. Providing clean and usable toilets is important to meet the demands of our residents and visitors.”

Mike Hine’s Swisher Southend team using a comprehensive range of B-Environmental cleaning products and power cleaning machines provided the deep clean service.
