Bristan prodcuts accredited under the Bathroom Manufacturers Association Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme
(13/04/2009)
Launched in 2007, the BMA's Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme is designed to raise awareness of bathroom products that, when installed and used correctly, use less water and save on water and energy, without impairing the bathing experience. Only products that pass the BMA’s strict criteria, as defined by technical experts from within the UK bathroom industry, are eligible for the accreditation.
Bristan has gained accreditation for 35 products under the Bathroom Manufacturers Association’s Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme. A range of products from across Bristan’s taps and showers portfolio are now eligible to carry the prestigious label, providing a clear indication to consumers of their water saving benefits.
Judith Gibbons from Bristan said: “The BMA’s labelling scheme is an important initiative within the industry and goes a long way in promoting products that are water efficient. Bristan’s achievement in having 50 products accedited under the labelling scheme is fantastic news for the business. It also gives our customers the extra confidence that the products they are buying are not only of the highest quality and design, but will also help them to save water, save energy and save money.”
Bristan products accredited under the scheme include the Java and Prism range of eco click taps, which automatically deliver a 42% water saving, and up to 72% when in the eco click position. A range of showers from the 1901, Chill, Quadrant, Sonique and Prism collections have also been awarded with the BMA label.
